eCommerce Operations Manager

Job Summary

 

Manage the day-to-day maintenance of the eCommerce B2B storefront. Support content and avenues for communication to provide an improved customer experience, updates and upgrades to existing store functionality, and coordinate with our development team to facilitate all updates. Ensure store remains up-to-date, mobile-optimized, and operate as intended. This role will report to the Senior Marketing Automation & eCommerce Manager.

 

Essential Job Functions *

 

  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive eCommerce strategy to increase online sales and improvement in conversion rates.
  2. Ensure all necessary product information is loaded and accurate in PIM (Salsify) and ERP (E1) – including but not limited to product details, images, keywords, pricing, inventory.
  3. Focus will be on U.S. storefront; however, this role will provide and leverage learnings that can also support our Canadian storefront.
  4. Deploy marketing activities to promote storefront, increase engagement and user adoption.
  5. Oversee the day-to-day management of the company's eCommerce platform, ensuring seamless operations and a user-friendly experience.
  6. Work with a team of web development specialists, providing guidance to drive performance and achieve goals.
  7. Utilize analytics tools to analyze website performance, user behavior, and sales trends, leading to actionable insights and improvements in key metrics.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and IT, to align digital initiatives with broader company objectives.
  9. Improve customer experience by implementing personalized content and promotions.
  10. Initiate and manage partnerships with external vendors and agencies to optimize e-commerce development and digital marketing efforts to improve ROI.
  11. Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in eCommerce and digital marketing, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
  12. Supports other non-commerce, and commerce, platforms as needed. (brand website, corporate website, etc.)
  13. Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to onboard new clients and ensure their needs are met throughout the website design and development process.

Education & Experience

  • 3+ Years in digital marketing or related field
  • Experience or certifications for Salesforce Marketing Cloud a plus
  • Experience with Shopify a plus
  • Experience with digital marketing operations functions such as email marketing, ecommerce management, CMS tools, SEO, online store merchandising

Competencies – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

  • Proficiency in eCommerce strategy development to drive online sales and improve conversion rates.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage day-to-day maintenance of eCommerce storefront.
  • Excellent communication skills to support content creation and communication avenues for enhanced customer experience.
  • Technical expertise to coordinate with development teams for updates and upgrades to store functionality.
  • Knowledge of mobile optimization techniques to maintain a user-friendly experience across devices.
