Supports the Maintenance Manager by improving and managing the electrical maintenance needs withing the mill.



·         Drive safe operating standards for the facility and operator areas

  • Become a trusted resource for maintenance and engineering questions

·         Identify key electrical equipment related issues and develop improvement plans to resolve these issues

·         Assist the management and maintenance of the TPM and PM systems

·         Provide technical support in the development of capital expenditures and equipment modifications

·         Maintain and repair the electronic components and equipment used in any equipment or device that involves electricity (AC/DC Drives – PLC Controls and Programming)

·         Perform replacement on diagnosed faulty electrical elements of machine including motors, relays, and switches; and set-up sensing mechanism, utilizing hand tools

·         Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment

·         Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code and Arc Flash requirements

·         Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears

·         Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects

·         Survey electrical systems, circuits and plans (PC- PLC-Ladder logic)

·         Develop key knowledge of the plant electrical equipment, including the necessary preventative maintenance requirements including spares inventory

·         Develop and implement key action plans to improve the overall electrical performance of the mill.

  • Attends all prerequisite training as required by management
  • Has the authority to stop process to correct quality, safety or environmental problems, and to promptly notify Supervisory personnel when processes are noncompliant
  • Perform other duties and assignments as assigned

·         Associate or Technical Degree preferred with five years minimum work experience in a manufacturing facility or 10 years progressive electrical maintenance experience.  Proficiencies to specific electronics, drives, and PLC controls.
