The Wistar Institute has an opening for a part-time (20 hours per week) Technician II to join the lab of Dr. Paul Lieberman. Research in the Lieberman lab focuses on understanding how the cancer-associated viruses persist in a latent state and increase the risk of cancer and autoimmune disorders. 

Duties will include assisting PhD researchers in cancer biology and virology.  The main responsibilities will be to help with preparation of reagents, maintenance of instruments and glassware, ordering and restocking reagents.  Potential to perform experiments in cell culture and recombinant DNA technology. 

An Associate’s degree in a science-related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) is required. Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field preferred. Good attention to detail is required.
