The Wistar Institute has an opening for a Research Assistant to join the laboratory of Dr. Aaron Goldman. The Goldman lab studies melanoma progression and therapy response, identifies biomarkers with potential clinical utility, and develops new techniques to analyze polar metabolites, lipids, and proteins using mass spectrometry. The successful candidate will assist with biochemical experiments and method development under the supervision of a senior lab member.

A bachelor's degree in a science related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) is required. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills and be able to work productively on multiple projects. Preference will be given to candidates with prior lab experience in biochemistry or a related field and an eagerness to learn new techniques. Familiarity with mass spectrometry and strong computational skills are desired, but not required. Motivated individuals with a basic background in biochemistry will also be considered.

The Wistar Institute is located in the University City area of Philadelphia, in the heart of the University of Pennsylvania Campus.
