The Clinical Product Support Manager role provides education and technical support in an effort to provide world class clinical service to our customers, expand our product base/usage and increase revenue within the assigned region. In partnership with the sales team, this role is responsible for leveraging existing and acquiring new customer relationships within assigned region to grow the business. This position will provide case coverage, follow-up, support, troubleshooting, customer service and education for the assigned technologies. The Clinical Product Support Manager will partner closely with direct or third-party distributors, depending on the region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain current knowledge about products and disease states, as well as competitive products
- Educate sales team on all current clinical data and new developments for assigned products, including how these developments can provide clinical benefits and patient safety
- Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to products and therapies. This is achieved by coordinating one on one sessions, in-service education programs, seminars and/or outside symposiums.
- Build meaningful partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other high-volume target accounts
- Develop new users, drive adoption and influence the continued use of products in target accounts to increase sales
- Effectively manage assigned region by performing intentional clinical activities that support sales efforts. This may include program/case coverage return on investment (ROI) analysis, trials/evaluations and align with sales to support new/existing customer opportunities.
- Anticipate market and competitor trends and generate demand by uncovering unknown customer needs
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, training, and work closely with leadership to implement/communicate changes to team
- Communicate broad and strategic messages to different types of audiences
- Maintain specific account knowledge within assigned region such as: key decision makers in each department, department hierarchy, products used and how they are used, company products and competitor’s products, and hospital programs
- Consistently communicate new product ideas and potential improvements to sales and marketing management
- Anticipate and adapt to challenges, coach physician and staff through complex clinical situations
- Regularly capture new opportunities, customer contract information, case coverage and applicable data in Salesforce.com (SFDC)
- May perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s level of degree in a clinical or related field of study
- Equivalent work related experience acceptable in lieu of degree: No
- 5 years of demonstrated experience in sales/marketing or clinical experience in radiology or related field
- RT, RN, PA, CCP, RA, ARNP or similar clinical credentialing certifications required
- Any preferred education, experience or certifications: Some sales experience preferred

- Proficient in the following computer software applications: Microsoft Office, Salesforce.com

- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance. instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
