Position Reports To: Senior Director of Finance

 

Position is full-time, hybrid work environment. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Paid medical; Dental, Vision; 401k, Pension; most meals included.

 

 

Summary

 

The Baltimore Ravens (National Football League club) is currently seeking an Accounting Manager to join our Finance/Accounting team. This position will entail, but not limited to, the responsibilities outlined below and will report directly to the Senior Director of Finance.  The ideal candidate must be reliable, detail-oriented, like working with others, and have a passion for professional football.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Manage the review/approval/coding verification of expense reports submitted by employees in Concur expense reporting system.
  • Manage all aspects of the fixed assets system (i.e., additions, disposals, depreciation) and related annual personal property tax filings.
  • Manage the month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare and record journal entries and perform related monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and reconcile ticket office transactions to cash between SeatGeek Unify, Shift 4, and NetSuite.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations of certain balance sheet accounts to ensure the accuracy of the general ledger.
  • Lead and/or participate in various audits, including those mandated by the League, which entails direct communication with the external/internal auditors to address/resolve matters.
  • Assist in the preparation of schedules annually to support the preparation of various jurisdictional tax filings managed by an outside CPA firm.
  • Participate in the annual departmental budget process.
  • Assist in the post-event reconciliation of non-football events (i.e., concerts, college football games) hosted at the stadium.
  • Ensure required deadlines are met for monthly close, financial reporting, annual audit submissions, agreed-upon procedure report submissions, and ad hoc reports and requests.
  • Assist with Accounting department special projects as needed.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, with 2-5 years relevant work experience.
  • General Ledger accounting experience. Prior experience with NetSuite, Vena, Concur, MineralTree, a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Outlook) and experience with general accounting software. Speaks/writes clearly and persuasively; Presents numerical data effectively
  • Detail oriented, organized, & strong work ethic. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; develops & suggests alternative solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: listens to others, works well in a team environment. Ability to interact effectively with a variety of team members in various departments, and work well with all types of people.
  • Positive and professional demeanor.  Maintains confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information.
