Job purpose

 

The Nuclear Medicine Director is responsible for directing, managing and leading field activities within the Nuclear Medicine Accounts Managers and Clinical Applications Specialists to achieve sales, customer support and industry relationship goals. The Nuclear Medicine Director will mentor, train and develop Region Managers and Nuclear Medicine Accounts Managers and Clinical Applications Specialists.

 

Essential Activities, Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities

Achievement of Company Objectives

  • Direct, drive and support efforts of the Regional Managers to ensure achievement of the business and company objectives, strategies, and goals.
  • Accurately forecast and communicate Sales performance to the Executive Director and Senior Management as appropriate.
  • Actively participate in the sales and operational budgeting process.
  • Communicate strategic goals and objectives to region managers through routine direct one-on-one field discussions and effective presentations at company and business unit meetings
  • Manage administrative functions for US sales and clinical field teams including territory business plans, customer satisfaction initiatives, financial reports, performance reviews and customer education and training processes.

Team Management and Development

  • Implement and maintain a formal management process aimed to maximize the effectiveness and sales performance of the NM business sales and clinical applications team efforts.
  • Develop and implement career development plans for each Regional Manager.
  • Conduct regular visits with all Regional Managers to provide feedback and coaching in order to facilitate personal and professional growth within their position. Provide Field Contact Reports after visits and manage performance (formal and informal performance evaluations) throughout the year.

Business Development

  • Actively participate in the strategic initiative development for the Nuclear Medicine Business, helping drive support and adoption of key initiatives with the field sales and clinical team.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, decision makers, and industry level thought leaders.
  • Take an active role with NM marketing, operations, and Nuclear Medicine Leadership team colleagues to implement effective programs intended to meet or exceed revenue and market development objectives.
  • Participate in special projects and assignments across key functional areas

 

  • Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Participation in various Nuclear Medicine Project Teams

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will manage all Nuclear Medicine Regional Managers within the United States.

 

Professional Experience

  • Familiarity with regulatory agencies.
  • Must have the ability to work with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and oral communications required.
  • Diplomatic interpersonal skills needed.
  • Experience working with physician leaders considered a plus.
  • Attention to detail and follow-through essential.
  • Excellent quantitative skills, moderate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • 5-8 years of experience in multi- level selling environment, diagnostic imaging preferred. 

 

Education

  • BA/BS Degree in science or business related fields – preferred
  • Minimum 3 year experience as a Bracco Diagnostics Inc. Regional Manager or other related experience in medical sales required – preferably in the area of nuclear medicine and/or cardiology.
  • Experience in marketing and sales training preferred
