The candidate for this position will work within our team to support our government Information Technology (IT) program with our Fort Stewart client. As a Desktop / IAVM you will be an integral part in ensuring the successful operations and maintenance of the computer systems and server team at Fort Stewart.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Function

  • Perform desktop and helpdesk and client onsite support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruption.
  • Troubleshoot, identify, escalate issues, and remediate/triage problems and changes.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, and virtualization
  • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
  • Responsible for meeting both regulatory and non-regulatory compliance demands.
  • Assist in the management and maintenance of the IAVA / Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert program.
  • Management and enforcement of information security policies, training and educating end-users on proper security practices.
  • Conducting security and risk assessments using security frameworks (e.g., NIST, RMF, Common Criteria, etc.), mitigating risk via security controls, testing and evaluation to certify and accredit commercial security products.
  • Develop, update, organize, maintain, and track RMF documentation using information obtained from the customer.
  • Ensuring privacy of data throughout its life-cycle, vulnerability management (scanning, assessment, reporting, and mitigation verification), business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Responsible for a combination of duties to protect information and maintain security controls for an entire system, site, or program in order to reduce risk.

Physical Requirements

  • Predominantly indoors in normal office environment
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and reach
  • Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English
  • May require frequent computer use for several hours at a time
  • Frequently work at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
  • Must have visual acuity
  • Must be able to lift up-to 25 pounds

Job Type:

  • Full-time 


  • Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, Hyper-V, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Windows Systems Administration.
  • Knowledge of Windows servers and current client operating systems.
  • 1+ years of experience in an IT support role preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple changing and conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to diagnose server/workstation or network alerts, events or issues.
