VGS is seeking an IT Specialist-Network


General Duties:
• Provide Service Ticket support (phone calls, email, trouble tickets, and desktop support) for the customer VOIP phones.
• Creates new hire phone and voicemail extensions; routes extensions to appropriate locations and updates information as necessary.
• Complete the programming of the IP telephones (Cisco IP based) and ensure connectivity to LAN network.
• Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications.
• Schedules and coordinates customer desk-side support for the installation of new phones or to coordinate for issue resolution.
• Conducts technical training with customers, staff, and other end users.

• CompTIA Security+ Certification plus a CCNA or other applicable Networking Certification

• Strong Knowledge of VOIP telecommunication hardware and software components.
• Must be proficient with all phases of installing VOIP phones to include running cables.
