Temporary - Production Line Leader

This is a temporary position lasting through peak season.
Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM
$17/HR


The line lead monitors productivity and process compliance in designated areas. This position requires good communication skills and a strong teamwork mentality.

The Line Lead sets the pace of the day. This position provides updated status to the line to remain focused on the needed production for the day.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBLITIES

Oversee the running and completion of all assigned work orders.

Monitor and reconcile open 862’s daily.

Give proper instructions to packagers according to the specific job.

Enforces rules and regulations.

Communicate with supervisor & general supervisor on the day to day operations, material needs and employee issues.

Communicate material overage / shortages with warehouse.

Perform routine quality checks.

Coordinate material flow at the production line.

Maintain organizational standards according to 5s compliance standards.

Promote safe work environment.

Record, notify and report unsafe working conditions immediately to department supervisor.

Maintain up to date professional and technical knowledge by attending educational trainings as assigned by training department.

SPECIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS 

High School diploma or equivalent

Ability to read and understand work orders and packaging specs in English

Ability to perform basic math

Ability to communicate and give instruction to employees in both verbal and written form

Leadership skills with the ability to take charge of a given situation

Ability to operate a computer and use Microsoft Office

Ability to demonstrate full understanding of production flow process
