Position: Facility Maintenance & Repair Assistant
Department: Stadium Operations - Maintenance
Reporting Relationship: Reports to Maintenance Supervisor
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Status: Full-Time (Non-Exempt)
Position Summary
The Facility Maintenance & Repair Assistant position performs general maintenance and repairs throughout the facility. The role assists in keeping the stadium in a visually pleasant and functioning state through repair in trades including, but not limited to paint, drywall, carpet, seats, millwork, ceiling tile removal and installation and various other general maintenance preventative issues. This position works to build proficiency in routine tasks and depth of knowledge with hands on experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform repair of drywall, concrete floors, stadium seats and drop in ceilings
- Painting
- Skilled in the proper use of the various tools and equipment used in the maintenance and carpentry field
- Provide documentation of completed projects
- Communicate use and need of needed materials
- Provide the highest quality solutions in a timely manner to all work
- Preseason and post season preparations (Flags, light post banners, wheelchair seats, field cushions, field signage, gates, suite windows, etc.)
- Any other duties as deemed necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the facility
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least three years of experience and/or training in the field(s) of general construction and maintenance
- Ability to use tools (grinder, saw, and drills) in a safe manner
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be a team player, reliable, and dependable. Work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
- Must be flexible to work evenings and/or weekends and all Stadium events, including events held on weekends, nights, and holidays when necessary
- Must pass pre-employment screens
Physical Requirements
- Standing, stooping, and walking for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Must be able to climb and work overhead off a ladder and scaffolding
- Must be able to operate and work from a boom lift
- Ability to work in variable temperatures, including extreme hot and cold weather based on the season
Work Environment
- This job operates in all areas of the stadium both inside and outside. At times it may include inclement weather working conditions.
