1st and 2nd Shift

JOB SUMMARY

A senior position in a production environment with a minimum of 10 years prior experience required. You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor daily to prioritize work orders, PM’s and projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities with increasing complexity to include, but are not limited to the following:

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on Production and Facilities equipment in a timely fashion to minimize production down time.
• Complete mechanical and electrical wiring jobs per Engineering Department prints.
• Train and work with Maintenance Technicians.
• Ensure preventative maintenance on equipment has been completed by Maintenance personnel correctly and on time.
• Machinist Work-Fabricate, modify or repair parts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Accurately follow directions in a timely manner.
• Some activities may include working outside during Summer and Winter
• Continue to learn and expand one’s capacity within this job by increasing knowledge and skill base.
• Perform various other assignments per Maintenance Supervisor’s direction.
• Be available for On Call to support 2nd Shift Production.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma and 10 years minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have valid operator’s license and clean driving record.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written technical procedures as well as follow verbal instruction.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply basic mathematical skills to include decimals, fractions, and conversions. Measurement skills to include tape measure, sheet metal gauge, dial calipers and all other machinist hand tools and equipment. Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply advanced skills in root cause analysis and problem prevention, focusing on sources of problems and prevention by using a systematic approach that includes: a) gathering relevant information through specific questioning; b) pinpointing of causes by using facts; c) testing possible causes logically; d) identifying critical areas where problems could cause the most difficulty; and e) targeting potential problems in advance and developing actions for prevention. Must demonstrate skills and logical thought process necessary to perform step by step troubleshooting, to include which tools/equipment to use, and communicating actions and re-actions to changes made. Must be able to follow manufacturers step-by-step troubleshooting charts determining proper or improper outputs or functions.
