POSITION SUMMARY — Validate that components and product meet established standards and requirements by performing measurements and analysis of results. Responsible for the execution of tasks to ensure our products meet or exceed specified quality standards. Prepare programs for measuring new and existing parts using CMM software. Maintain the measurement equipment used across the company using GAGEpack software. WORK ENVIRONMENT — Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.



  • Operate and program various CMM’s at all locations across the company

  • Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on CMM machine using hand tools and precision measuring instruments

  • Create measurement reports and provide feedback to key stakeholders and interested parties

  • Provide accurate and precise measurements to internal and external customers

  • Ability to understand GD&T on drawings and apply to developing the strategy for set-up and collection of measurement data

  • Collect and analyze production samples to ensure quality

  • Use micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, and various other hand tools to collect measurement data

  • Assist in collecting data for Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) studies, capability studies, Design of Experiments (DOE), and Gage R&R studies

  • Maintain the measurement equipment used across the company using GAGEpack software

  • Work with outside vendors on internal or external work content for equipment

  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S procedures

  • Identify and handle non-conforming products

  • Ability to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of product to our customers due to a known or potential nonconformance

  • Maintain and support the environmental policy with deployment, governance of the policy and processes, evaluation, and taking actions for process improvement

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines

  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach

  • Knowledge of CMM software, including PolyWorks

  • Knowledge of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operation

  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

  • Knowledge of Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) and Gage R&R studies

  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC)


Education: High School Graduate, GED, or HSDE preferred

Experience: One-year related experience; Prior CMM Programming preferred

Computer Skills: Must demonstrate computer literacy
