$17.60 an hour

 

SUMMARY: As a member of our restaurant team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Your responsibilities will include providing outstanding customer service, serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and contributing to the overall success of our restaurant operations.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

·        Greet guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and present menus.

·        Provide recommendations and information about menu items, specials, and beverage options.

·        Take guests' orders accurately and enter them into the point-of-sale system promptly.

·        Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff, ensuring clear communication and timely preparation.

·        Serve food and beverages to guests with professionalism and attention to detail.

·        Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction with their meals and address any concerns or requests.

·        Monitor guests' dining experiences and anticipate their needs, providing proactive service.

·        Process guest payments accurately, handle cash transactions, and reconcile cash drawers at the end of shifts.

·        Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including tables, chairs, floors, and service stations.

·        Set up and break down dining areas before and after service, including arranging table settings and decorations.

·        Assist with restocking supplies, including food, beverages, and tableware, as needed.

·        Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with health codes and hotel standards.

·        Uphold the hotel's appearance and grooming standards, including wearing the designated uniform.

·        Work collaboratively with other restaurant staff and departments to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

·        Attend training sessions and staff meetings to stay informed about menu changes, promotions, and hotel policies.

·        Adapt to varying work schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

·        Assist other restaurant and kitchen team members as necessary.

·        Perform other related services and duties as assigned by supervisor and management.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

·        Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment preferred.

·        Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

·        Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.

·        Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to guests.

·        Basic math skills and proficiency in using point-of-sale systems.

·        Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

·        Certification in responsible food & alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe, food handling, RBS, etc.).

·        Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent.

·        Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.

·        Commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.

·         Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts as required.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

·        Exposure to indoor conditions and temperatures is inherent in the role.

·        Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, perform repetitive tasks, and carry trays of food & beverages for extended periods throughout shift in indoor and outdoor settings.
