Housekeeping Turndown Attendant

Job Summary: As a hotel turndown attendant, your primary responsibility is to prepare guest rooms in the evening, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests. This includes turning down beds, replenishing amenities, tidying up the room, providing special touches like chocolates or mints, and meeting guest requests promptly and courteously.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Room Preparation:

    • Turn down beds neatly and fluff pillows.
    • Adjust lighting to create a relaxed atmosphere.
    • Close curtains or blinds for privacy.

Amenity Replenishment:

    • Restock towels, toiletries, and other amenities.
    • Ensure amenities are neatly arranged.

Tidying Up:

    • Perform light cleaning tasks to keep rooms tidy.
    • Dust furniture, wipe surfaces, and vacuum floors.

Special Touches:

    • Provide additional amenities to enhance guest experience.
    • Accommodate guest preferences and special requests.

Guest Requests:

    • Respond promptly and courteously to guest needs.
    • Anticipate and offer assistance to enhance their stay.

Communication:

    • Coordinate with hotel staff to accommodate guest requests.
    • Report maintenance issues promptly.

Attention to Detail:

    • Ensure rooms meet cleanliness and presentation standards.
    • Check for maintenance issues and report them promptly.

Customer Service:

    • Greet guests warmly and address concerns promptly.
    • Strive to exceed guest expectations.

Safety & Security:

    • Follow safety protocols and sanitation practices.
    • Use protective equipment when necessary.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work with housekeeping team and other staff efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure guest satisfaction.

Other:

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or similar role preferred.
  • Attention to detail and strong customer service skills.
  • Dependability, reliability and physical stamina to perform tasks for extended periods.
  • Effective communication and professionalism.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, and adapt to changing guest needs and hotel priorities.
  • Completion of required training programs beneficial.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to varying conditions and temperatures is inherent in the role.
