Food Production Managers (2 shifts - 1st and 2nd shift!)

JF Heritage Foods is looking for a strong & skilled Food Production Managers for the both 1st and 2nd shift!  These positions are responsible for the day-to-day activities of production operations and personnel to meet established production and quality control standards.  The Food Production Managers supervises the productions areas at the JF Heritage Food Company and for the training, scheduling, and development of employees.  This position has the responsibility to always comply with Safety work rules, and ensures policies/procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed.

General Responsibilities:

• Leads a team of both salaried and hourly associates to ensure efficient production of products.
• Ensures food quality and food safety within production, including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Safe Quality Foods (SQF), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

• Develops, trains, and mentors production associates: which includes:
  • Participating in interview and selection process.
  • Training associates on JF Heritage Foods’ policies/procedures, providing direction, encouragement, and motivation.
  • Evaluating performance and verifying results.

• Works cross-functionally to ensure production operates efficiently while minimizing downtime, meeting scheduling deadlines, and managing labor and associate schedules to budget expectations.
• Supports implementation of new methods, procedures, and systems.
• Identifies and ensures execution of continuous improvement opportunities to improve associate productivity.

Qualifications:

3+ years’  experience in food preparation– preferably in a food production environment; must have 1+ years’ supervisory skills of hourly associates; strong people management, communication, motivational, and customer service skills; good knowledge of HACCP, SQF, and GMP; must be energetic and forward-thinking with the ability to maintain effective working relationships within all levels of an organization; ability to maintain an active physical presence on the production floor; must have willingness to work a variable schedule including weekends; proficient in MS Office Suite, and possess the ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage change efficiently, and in a positive manner.  Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
