OVERVIEW

We’re looking for Quality Assurance Associates in our Fulfillment Center to inspect and ensure that all ingredients and all items in boxes meet required quality standards. The Quality Assurance Associate will assist with Gold Standard and table set up and audit tables and bins on a continuous basis (at least once an hour). Document all audits in Quality Tool Suite, and notify the team of any issues. Attend monthly refresher training with the team and speak with Quality during start up communications. Must have a passion for providing quality customer service and a desire to be a part of a team and a company vision of better living through better food!

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help maintain compliance with FDA regulations, SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards
  • To be able to escalate any internal non conformances
  • To provide weekly line layout preparation support 
  • GMP compliance on site 
  • Incoming and outbound quality checks  using tools such as thermometer, pH meter, food scales, vernier caliper
  • Update quality numbers in the computer system; can use a computer and type/data entry using computer programs like google drive , ERP system 
  • Record and verify BBD/ lot# on daily basis to maintain traceability 
  • Communicate with teams on site and off site cross functionally to ensure smooth flow of operations 
  • Conduct swabs and send them for testing
  • Provide guidance to employees by coordinating work and resolving problems
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality assurance activities, inspection findings, corrective actions, and other relevant data. Prepare reports and summaries as needed for management review.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

Skills and Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience in a food production or warehouse environment
  • Clear and concise communicator, verbal and written
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • You'll need to read and understand English to ensure your safety and the safety of those working around you. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
  • Be at least 18 years-old
  • Be available to work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
  • Successfully pass the drug and background screening following your conditional job offer
  • Be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Be willing  to work in multiple roles throughout the Fulfillment Center
  • Provide accurate and truthful information (falsification on application will disqualify candidacy)
  • Bachelors in food science or related field preferred

Able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

  • Working in a refrigerated warehouse environment in temperatures and at times in freezing temperatures 
  • Understanding and adhering to all safety standards and requirements
  • Must be able to bend and lift, up to 49 pounds repetitively
  • Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to push, pull, squat, bend, and reach above and below shoulders. Repetitive use of hands.
  • Must be willing to follow all safety, GMP and SQF policies procedures, as well as adherence to PPE/hygiene policies, in cooperation with the supervisor
