The System Administrator supports multiple technologies as well as addressing escalated support requests from the help desk.  Ideal candidates have several years’ experience with Windows servers and desktops, a variety of application support, in-depth knowledge of virtualization platforms, while providing efficient and friendly customer service.

Successful candidates will be able to multi-task and possess exceptional organization skills.  They will use their experience to systematically problem solve while communicating effectively in a team environment.  The role is ideal for detailed driven, fast-paced professionals with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.

What to Expect:

§  Configuration and support of WAN & LAN technologies, specifically Cisco FTD, Nexus, & Meraki

§  Configuration and support of Microsoft server operating systems and applications.

§  Configuration and support of virtualization platforms, specifically VMware

§  Administration and support of Microsoft Office 365

§  Administration and support of various security platforms

§  Administration and support of backup and replication technologies

§  Investigates and coordinates the resolution of complex technical services and project-related issues

§  Organizes and prioritizes technical issues and tasks

§  Advises on the correct and effective use of system and software to ensure that services meet all agreed performance targets, service levels, and technical requirements

§  Presents solutions, which would enhance the performance of existing infrastructure or applications

§  Monitor network performance and provide needed support

§  Produce, maintain and update technical documentation

Ideal Candidates:

Ø  Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred, or equivalent experience

Ø  Extensive knowledge in virtualization environments, with a focus on VMware

Ø  Extensive networking knowledge

Ø  5+ year(s) supporting Windows server environments and applications, specifically:

o   Microsoft Windows Server

o   Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies

o   Desktop operating system support

Ø  Experience maintaining and troubleshooting VoIP systems, specifically Avaya systems

Ø  Certifications in Microsoft platforms, VMware, or other related technologies preferred

Ø  Flexibility to accommodate after-hours maintenance windows or troubleshooting

Ø  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Ø  Flexible scheduled to allow occasional travel
