Primary Accountabilities:

• Refrigeration, mechanical and electrical testing, troubleshooting and repair of all types of marketing equipment.
• Troubleshooting and repairing of sealed and cassette type refrigeration units to include compressors, vacuums and recharging.
• Repairing/rebuilding of refrigeration systems including the proper handling of refrigerants to meet EPA standards.
• Clear and accurate record keeping including parts usage and inventories, refrigerant recovery usage, etc.
• Proper disposal and recycling of parts and equipment with associated record keeping.
•  Must maintain satisfactory recertification with OEM standards.

Basic Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge required.
• Able to pass OEM certification tests.
• Ability to train others in all aspects of refrigeration 
• General knowledge of computers and keyboarding
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs to 50lbs continually throughout shift.
• Must maintain safe work habits and housekeeping.
• Ability to effectively communicate with their manager.
• Regular attendance and the ability to work overtime.

Required Experience:

• Working with electrical systems (understanding flow, wiring, outlet, etc.)
• Working with mechanical systems (experience with mechanical concepts, troubleshooting and repairing appliances, basic hold repair of plumbing, electrical components, operating hand and power tools)
• Working with basic refrigeration systems (understanding refrigeration cycle, refrigerants, compressors, evaporators, condensers, etc.)
• Working with moving equipment (forklifts, hand trucks, etc.)
• 1-3 years of refrigeration systems experience
