The Manager Quality Assurance is responsible for the daily operation of the Quality Assurance Department and coordinating daily reporting with the Director Quality Assurance.
1. Provide detailed management oversight of the assigned department including analysis of discrepant areas and development of corrective actions to prevent discrepancy reoccurrence.
2. Establish and oversee auditing procedures for both in-house quality audits and outside vendor quality audits.
3. Maintain a record of vendor audits to include audits conducted by phone, mail, or in person.
4. Assure all vendors used are in the Approved Vendor list. Follow-up on vendor discrepancies to assure adequate corrective actions have been taken.
5. Continual monitoring for any RSM, QCM, FAR, safety, and/or operating procedure violations. Follow-up to ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.
6. Maintain FAA liaison in the absence of the Director Quality Assurance.
7. Accomplish investigations of accidents and supply results to the Vice President Regulatory Compliance, Vice President/General Manager, and Director Quality Assurance as directed.
8. Assure that all Quality Assurance personnel are treated equally and fairly and in accordance with the HAECO Human Resources policies and procedures. 
9. Administer disciplinary action to assigned personnel, as appropriate and required, in accordance with the HAECO Human Resources policies and procedures.
10. Accomplish internal quality assurance checklist, scoring, and reporting.
11. Schedule internal audits.
12. Investigate and provide timely responses to both customer and FAA investigation requests.
13. Act as primary responsible person for the Technical Data Control and calibration programs (MCN only).
14. Be authorized to act on behalf of the repair station.
15. Ensure accountability to conduct themselves within all guidelines of company, FAA, and customer policies, work rules, and regulations (ex. Repair Station Manual (RSM), Quality Control Manual (QCM), Airworthiness Agreements), etc.
16. Promote a culture of safety by monitoring self and others to assure all duties are performed within the guidelines as specified by the HAECO Safety Manual ex. Confined Space, lock out-tag out (LOTO), etc.
1. Assist in the training of other employees as well as assisting them in the performance of their job assignments through coaching, counseling, and guidance.
2. Interface effectively with members of management, other departments, and co-workers.
3. Keep own and adjacent work area clean.
4. Perform other work as instructed by the Director Quality Assurance, if qualified.
The Manager Quality Assurance is accountable to the Director Quality Assurance for performing daily maintenance and/or repair assignments in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
1. FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate
2. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with a wide variety of people.
3. Basic computer skills
4. A thorough understanding of FAR (14 CFR) parts 21, 25, 43, 65, 91, 121, 125, 129, & 145.
5. A thorough understanding of the EASA 145 Rule
6. Ability to travel extended periods of time for contract vendor auditing purposes.
7. Five (5) or more years experience as a mechanic or inspector on large commercial type aircraft
8. Previous airline (CASE) auditing experience preferred.
9. Language (read, write, and understand English)
10. High School diploma or equivalent
11. Must have the ability to lead people and accept responsibility

b. Capable of lifting fifty (50) pounds
3. Normal or corrected hearing
4. Minimum visual acuity of 20/40 corrected
5. Full color vision
6. Be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and/or stand for prolonged periods of time and climb ladders and/or service stands
7. Normal office environment where approximately 60% of work is performed in a sitting position with the remaining time walking and moving around the office or hanger/shop areas
