Hoffmaster Group Inc is looking an intern to support our Plant Engineering team for Summer 2024.  This is an onsite paid internship based at our manufacturing facility in Oshkosh focused the following projects within the organization. 

Organize and label machine manuals

  1. Focus on Main Equipment
  1. Servo Tech Machines
  2. Bretting Machines
  1. Include digital and hard copies
  2. Machine side and maintenance / engineering records area
  3. Collaboration with:
  1. Maintenance
  2. Engineering
  3. Operators
  4. Vendor’s: Servo Tech and Bretting

Establish numbering convention for CAD files

  1. Develop a standard numbering convention for 3D models and 2D CAD files
  2. Create standard title block to be used on all drawings
  3. Focus on most recent drawings and any new developments
  4. Collaboration with:
    1. Engineering
    2. Maintenance

Mount Hope Paper Roll replacement project

  1. Pilot Fashion Point 1 machine with new Mink paper roll
  2. Gather roll information for those to be replaced
  3. Anticipated cost savings of $1,000 per roll replaced
  4. Collaboration with:
  1. Engineering
  2. Maintenance
  3. Vendor: IMA

Establish an Anilox Cleaning Program

  1. Determine frequency of anilox cleaning
  2. Conduct audit of all anilox and life expectancy for replacement
  3. Collaboration with:
    1. Operations
  • Excellent abilities to prioritize and handle multiple projects
  • Ability to recognize improvement opportunities
  • High level of interpersonal, written, verbal communication/ influence skills, excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to perform with minimal supervision and direction
  • Ability to deliver effective presentations
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well on a team
  • Proven skill in projecting confidence, working collaboratively and engendering trust
  • Working towards Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related degree. Jr. or Sr. preferred
  • Occasional travel to other Wisconsin sites may be required

  • Full time employment- Internships and projects are designed to last 10 weeks over the summer.  Hours will be Monday – Friday 8 am – 4:30 pm and pay starts at $18 / hour.
