Primary Purpose of the Role 

The Associate Product Line Manager supports overall management of licensed branded product lines. This position works in a cross-functional environment consisting of Marketing, Design, Manufacturing, and Sales to aid in the development and execution of programs for key channels of business. The Associate Product Line Manager also assists in strategic business plan development in order to drive sales and improve profitability. The role consists of communicating and relationship building with parties outside of the company. This is a hybrid in office / remote position.

 

Essential Job Duties

  • Serve as primary liaison to license partners including contract renewals, product submissions and other general communication.
  • Manage portfolio of licensed skus including new item introductions, analysis of sales data, forecasting, sku rationalization recommendations and general product lifecycle management.
  • Responsible for item set-up processes and maintaining the accuracy of all product information in internal and external product databases.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, finance, procurement and sales as needed to execute programs to support customer needs.
  • Collect and analyze internal sales and profitability data to support business decisions.
  • Provide support to Channel Marketing & Sales to meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Creative team on packaging, merchandising and sales collateral needs
  • On occasion, will coordinate with Procurement in creating and analyzing RFQs for product development with overseas partners.
  • Collaborate with finance and assist with cost analysis of new products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Must be proficient in all areas of Microsoft Office
  • Preferred: Consumer product industry or licensing experience
  • Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience in process improvement activities
  • Ability to work on a team, and collaborate with multiple depts. outside of marketing
  • Motivated and independent self-starter that is able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
  • Minimum Bachelors degree, Marketing or Business preferred 
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience
