Dual Diagnosed Residential Program at 815 Buena Vista West in San Francisco is an alcohol rehab program providing substance abuse treatment, detoxification, and a halfway house or sober living home with residential short-term treatment and residential long-term treatment. Dual diagnosis or persons with co-occurring disorders, persons with HIV or AIDS, gays and lesbians, seniors, or older adults, pregnant or postpartum women, women, men, and criminal justice clients are supported for this drug treatment center. 

JOB SUMMARY

Therapist works in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible treatment outcome for our clients and provide treatment in accordance with HealthRIGHT 360’s philosophy, goals, policies, mission, and vision. Therapist utilizes different modalities including individual, group, and family therapy. Therapist provides clinical assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, interventions, crisis interventions, and discharge planning in outpatient, residential, or field setting based on client and program needs. Therapist participates in the on-call rotation and may be required to respond after hours. This is a union position.  

HOW TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Provides thorough clinical assessment and diagnoses.
  • Monitors treatment progress and updates the treatment plan as needed.
  • Seeks clinical consultation throughout the treatment episode and when encountering new and/or high-risk clinical circumstance.
  • Works collaboratively with other members of the treatment team including the Case Manager, Counselor, Medical, and Psychiatrist.
  • Maintains frequent communication with the treatment team and engages in regular consultations, clinical team, case conferences, and plan development meetings.
  • Assists with crisis assessment, crisis intervention, and symptom management within assigned programs by providing 24-hour 7 day per week after-hours coverage on rotation with other Therapists.
  • Meets expected client care hours.
  • Maintains compliance with due dates for all clinical documentation including assessment, treatment plan, treatment plan updates, re-assessments, discharges, outcome measures, and other clinical documents.
  • Writes client progress letters and court reports and obtains final approval from the supervisor.
  • Documentation must be maintained in compliance with agency policies and procedures, HIPAA, 42-CFR, and other external requirements.
  • Maintains full compliance with BBS or CBP regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Education:

  • MSW, MFT, PCC, or PsyD from an accredited graduate school and current registration or licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) or the California Board of Psychology (CBP).

Experience:

  • Experience with effective treatment and management of clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders preferred.
  • Preferably three years’ experience providing services as a therapist.

Competencies:

  • Knowledge of and application of client-centered therapy, strength-based therapy, recovery model, harm reduction, and trauma-informed practices.
  • Culturally competent and able to work with diverse population.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Integrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
  • Bilingual preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Possess current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Must be able to meet health screening and TB test requirements.
  • Must be able to meet and maintain credentialing requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain satisfactory background check.
