Prototypes Oxnard Residential Women's Center, one of HealthRIGHT 360’s programs, is a 56 residential facility offering Residential and withdrawal management services for women and women with children. This residential facility provides comprehensive substance use disorder (SUD) and co-occurring disorder care by an interdisciplinary team of professionals.

 

Women ages 18 and above with substance use disorders can enter treatment with their children under the age of 10 ½. In addition, this program also serves pregnant and postpartum women, women with histories of trauma and/or domestic violence, women with co-occurring mental health disorders, women with history of traumatic brain injury, women with open DCFS cases, and women with criminal justice involvement. 

The on-call SUD Counselor provides program coverage in residential on all shifts as scheduled by Program Supervisor.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists clients with needs as assigned throughout your assigned shift.
  • Monitors parent-child interactions to ensure safety and well-being of children.
  • Responsible for documentation of activities and client interactions.
  • Administrative tasks such as phone coverage, filing and other duties assigned.
  • Follow all regulations and requirements set forth by CARF, State and County funders.
  • Maintains a high degree of self-awareness and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Knowledge and respect of all confidentiality and HIPPA regulations.
  • Contacts Program Director, Supervisor, if consultation related to program issues is needed during shifts.

Other duties as assigned. 

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • AA degree in Addiction related field preferred.
  • Must have current SUD registration (or certification) with one of the CA SUD Certifying boards. 
  •  A minimum of one year's experience in the human service field and demonstrated knowledge in substance use disorders treatment, relapse prevention, and recovery.
  • Must possess a basic understanding of child development, child abuse, substance abuse issues, and self sufficiency issues. 
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Must have a California Driver's License and proof of car insurance.
