  Outpatient programs provide Individual and group therapy, individualized case management, treatment planning, drug and alcohol counseling, crisis intervention, and connection to social support services.

Job Overview
 
Supervisor I will oversee ACCESS and Client Advocates in OP.   This is a fast paced environment which requires organizational and time management skills.  Services are provided  remotely, in the office and in the field. Supervisor must be a strong team player and be able to lead clinical staff and assist in improving access to care for clients. 

The Supervisor I is a professional that supervises and manages staff to ensure provision of quality client care and effective team performance to meet agency goals in accordance with Prototypes philosophy, goals, policies, mission and vision. The primary responsibilities of the Supervisor I are to assist in the process of providing quality client care by providing supervision and staff development for all assigned direct reports within the assigned Prototypes program. The Supervisor I is also responsible for overseeing client care as it relates to staff scheduling, outside agency relations, and other tasks as assigned by the Director, as well as other daily activities essential to incorporating the agencies mission and values as a part of our service delivery. The primary objective of the Supervisor I is to provide smooth and effective supervision of the staff, assignments and program activities which includes program development of assigned program(s). Supervisor I is responsible for team’s performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures all direct reports are in compliance with HR 360 policies, procedures and position expectations and performance goals.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all programmatic or project contractual requirements. 
  • Responsible for ensuring  that all treatment service plans and activities are executed in keeping with the organization’s values, mission, vision and strategy. 
  • Responsible for ensuring all direct reports remain in compliance with all environmental, safety and health requirements of the program(s) assigned.
  • Ensures program staff, Director and other senior management are informed on quality of care concerns through regular reporting and/or team discussions.
  • Ensures all direct reports are properly trained and updated on HIPAA regulations and compliance as well as any other ongoing compliance and regulatory requirements.

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Prefer experience with Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health policy and procedure.
  • 3 years experience in DMH and DMC.
  • Must be open to a flexible work schedule that may include evenings and/or weekends.
  • Must be able to pass background/criminal check.
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid California Driver's License and proof of insurance.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
