General Summary:  The Vice President of Practice Management will be responsible for overseeing the operations of Intermountain medical practices, ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services, while also optimizing operational efficiency and financial performance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports and furthers the vision, mission, and goals of the organization.
  • Develops departmental goals that are measurable and realistic ensuring all staff are educated and aware of the goals.  
  • Develops reporting tools on progress of department goals.
  • Work closely with senior and program leadership to align practice management strategies with overall organizational goals.
  • Supports program leader overseeing day-to-day clinic operations, ensuring they operate smoothly and efficiently.
  • Implement processes and systems to improve patient flow, reduce waiting times, no show rates, and enhance the overall patient experience.
  • Engage with physicians, staff, patients, and external partners to gather insights and feedback. Foster strong relationships with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders.
  • Works closely with VP of Clinical Integration, VP's of Clinical Operations, QM and CMO on population health management. 
  • Works closely with CMO, Regional Psychiatric Directors, Member Services, Clinical Integration, and program staff to enhance patient satisfaction by improving the quality of patient services.
  • Address patient complaints and feedback. Work with diverse team members to implement changes to improve the patient experience.
  • Assist with development and on-going upkeep of grievance tracking data base system with key performance metrics. 
  • Develops and manages medical budgets and implements strategies to improve revenue generation and profitability.
  • Monitor financial performance and works with CMO making adjustments to operations and strategy as necessary.
  • Optimizing ancillary staff duties to align their scope of work with industry standards. 
  • Streamlining the use of ancillary/support staff for the clinicians to improve patient through put and billing opportunities for services provided.
  • Manages medical supplies & equipment ordering process. Negotiates and works closely with vendors actively seeking best service and price points.
  • Works with HR and CMO in the recruitment of staff.
  • Assist CMO, HR and other designated staff in onboarding new staff.
  • Works with CMO and COO in identifying quality improvement initiatives, implements and monitors performance against quality metrics.
  • Works closely with CMO ensuring staffing capacity.
  • Policy development, revision, and editing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or necessary as they relate to the general nature of position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education – Bachelor’s degree required, Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience – A minimum of five (5) years' experience in management with at least 2 years experience in practice management. All experience must be with in healthcare system.
  • Licensure- NA
  • Certification- NA

REGULATORY:

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Current, valid Arizona Driver’s License, 39-month Motor Vehicle Report to meet insurance requirements.
  • Eligible for DPS Level 1 fingerprint clearance.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (Employer provides).
  • Initial current negative TB test result (Employer provides).
