FLSA Status: Exempt

 

Position Summary

Responsible for the overall growth, profit and loss, leadership and sound management of the region.  The Regional Manager will be accountable for developing strategies that drive bottom line results. Is entrepreneurial and innovative in growing the region while developing a succession plan.    The Regional Manager will create and strengthen key relationships with customers and the industry. The Regional Manager will build and manage a high-performance team that adheres to ISEC’s core values and delivers the highest level of customer service as well as financial results.  

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 Organizational

  • Participate with the President and other members of senior management team in the development and implementation of short-term and long-term goals, strategies, and business plans.

 

Personnel

  • Define regional staffing strategy to ensure manpower needs are met.
  • Responsible overall for hiring, firing, evaluating, promoting, and compensating regional personnel.
  • Develop regional leadership team, oversee development of professional and field staff.

 

Business Development

  • Define and oversee strategy for growth through innovative expansion of scope.
  • Identify, pursue, build and strengthen relationships with key contacts.
  • Analyze projects to determine strategic value.
  • Guide sales team in bidding projects to meet annual revenue and profit goals.
  • Oversee client and customer development, maintain current owner, contractor and architectural accounts. Generate new business with target customers and locate new construction opportunities.
  • Establish and meet or exceed overall sales goal, ship and bill goals, and profit goals annually and manage against department overhead accounts.
  • Develop working knowledge of ISEC systems, pricing, forms, and knowledge of all aspects of ISEC businesses, millwork, metals, DFH, Interior glazing, casework, specialties, laboratory furniture and equipment, understanding of labor to material ratios, general conditions, and subsistence plans.

 

Preconstruction

  • Oversee purchasing process, vendor selections and oversee outsource procurement. Monitor update meetings for new projects and assist the PCS Manager or Operations Manager as necessary.  Ensure all Vendor Contracts, Bond and Insurance Certificates are pursued to resolution.
  • Oversee engineering process.
  • Oversee estimating process.

 

Operations

  • Execute customer contracts.
  • Participate in Quarterly Division Reviews.
  • Monitor Cash Flow reports on major projects. 
  • Monitor Accounts Receivable to ensure timely payments in accordance with contract terms.
  • Ultimately responsible for resolution of conflicts with Contractor, Suppliers, etc.  Involve attorney as required.
  • Ensure ISEC’s commitments to Core Values are maintained throughout the construction process.

 

Safety Responsibility

  • Effectively communicate and implement the Company’s safety policies and procedures committed to the Safety Promise.  The Regional Manager may adopt more stringent rules with consultation of the Safety Department.
  • Establish an environment of “zero tolerance” for safety non-compliance and promote a positive atmosphere for safety excellence.
  • Ensure an accident free region through managing of the safety program including full implementation of the Safety Leadership Team.
  • Provide the resources and time necessary to execute the required actions in safety on projects.
  • Ensure all employees in the region follow and implement ISEC safety requirements.

Preferred Qualifications (in addition to minimum qualifications) 
Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management
  • 10 years of experience in a commercial construction management position

 Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to mentor and coach subordinates in a start-up environment

Minimum Qualifications
Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or the equivalent combination of education and related commercial construction experience
  • Minimum of 10 years commercial construction experience with 5 years in a leadership position
  • Track record of success
