District Sales Manager - North Central [REMOTE]

Iteris is seeking a North Central District Sales Manager to sell the company's products, systems and/or services with a focus on expansion of the North Central market.

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • Prospect, sell, and establish key/strategic relationships with both existing and new customers, with a focus on "hunting"--i.e., prospecting and
  • discovering new customers.
  • Speak directly and demonstrate products or services to clients and distributors to explain features and merits of products or services offered.
  • Answers all questions concerning a product or service, with appropriate coordination of sales negotiations where required.
  • Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service
  • categories offered.
  • Make sales calls independently presenting product offerings to end user accounts.
  • Sale calls to existing accounts and distributors to grow overall business.
  • Attend regularly regional industry meetings and trade shows and use of social media.
  • Regular use of customer relationship management (CRM) to document and manage activities in the territory.
  • Work closely with distributors / channel partners to identify new business and maintain existing customer business to achieve sales targets.
  • Maintain customer/prospect relationships before/after sale and maintain positive reference sites.
  • Attends sales meetings and sales training classes.
  • Participate fully in campaigns and new initiatives learning new products, upgrades, and changes in the market requirements.
  • Up to 50% travel.

 

What you need to be successful in this role:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred (four-year college or technical school) or relevant experience. Field of Study: Business Administration, Sales, Traffic
  • Management or related field.
  • Preferred four (4) years in sales or business development in a technology field.
  • Experienced in working with direct and indirect sales process.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office.

 

Iteris anticipates paying between $99,000 and $110,000 for this role. However, actual pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.
