Utilization Review Specialist - Full Time - Residential Center for Healing & Resilience

As a Utilization Specialist  you can proudly tell your family and friends that you help nurture hope, healing, and resilience in Idaho’s youth by mobilizing resources for youth and families receiving IYR services. This is a collaborative position meaning you will work with the clinical and medical team at the RCHR, client family and referral sources to meet the comprehensive needs of the client.

Must Haves:

• • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year experience in utilization review and solid knowledge of insurance processes
  • Excellent computer skills: including working knowledge of Electronic Health Record (HER) and Microsoft Word
  • Demonstrate a working understanding of HIPAA and Medicaid guidelines and ability to maintain youth confidentiality and privacy

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of residential treatment insurance processes
• One year experience in case management, preferably serving Medicaid youth

Our Utilization Review Specialist:

• • Provide utilization review for youth receiving inpatient residential care
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with providers regularly throughout patient care
  • Maintain current knowledge of insurance medical policies guidelines to ensure compliance
  • Verify patient insurance benefits, transmit medical claims using billing software
