Advisory Solutions Project Manager
The Advisory Solutions Project Manager, will partner and manage each project critical to the Advisory business to support Advisors and Home Office employees. This role will be high visibility position with responsibilities that require frequent interactions with many individuals across the firm.
What you are good at:
- Advisory/Managed Accounts knowledge – experience of Advisory fee-based programs and platforms
- Initiative - identifying ways to improve the Advisory Advisor and Client experience
- Client Service – keeping the needs of Advisors and teams, front of mind;
- Relationship Management - coordinating with various individuals across the firm, including Advisors to understand future development needs;
- Project Management –ongoing development of many systems while effectively coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
Responsibilities:
- Serve as subject matter expert on Janney’s Advisory programs, platforms and technology, including firm-wide technology, supporting the Advisors and teams
- Along with the programs/platform team, manage the process of implementing a new portfolio construction tool for use by Advisors and teams
- Help design and develop an Advisor Discretionary UMA program for Advisor efficiencies
- Along with Advisory Trading, manage all developments pertaining to Vestmark
- Schedule calls and coordinate with resources for execution on multiple projects to ensure projects are delivered on-time and within scope and budget
- Create project plan for each Advisory project and confirm progress, risks, challenges, dependencies, etc
- Monitor project progress and solve issues as they arise
- Report and escalate to management as appropriate
- Prepare meeting minutes and document key decisions and next steps
- Create and distribute a bi-weekly report card for management on project status
- Engage all teams for vendor evaluation for components related to the Advisory platform
- Perform quality assurance testing alongside other SMEs
- Liaise with a cross-functional team to devise and plan the effective rollout and, ensuring the application is used to its full potential (adoption) across the organization
- Support the continuous development of the Advisory platform aligning to the evolving needs of the business
- Use internal and external resources to design and deliver system changes that will enable us to meet our goals
- Partner with Advisory program/platform team to educate on UMA benefits to be champions across branches to improve the usage and adoption of a scalable Advisory program
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance
- Series 7 and Series 66
- Minimum of 10 years of Advisory business experience within the financial services industry
- Commitment to obtaining PMP license within 5 years
- Janney Advisory business experience preferred
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner with high level of initiative, attention to detail, ability to multi-task & prioritize and consistently meet deadlines
- Proven written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain relationships at all organizational levels
