We are seeking a Sales Specialist to join our New York sales team to market our products in the NYC Metro / Hudson Valley market.  The territory is the New York Hudson Valley market and will cover Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam, Dutchess, Sullivan, and Ulster counties as well as the Bronx, NY.  This position will cover all KI’s core markets including Higher Ed, K-12, Commercial, Healthcare, State and Local.  The role will also call on dealer partners and A&D firms in the territory.  You will work from your home office in this role but will have accessibility to work from our NYC showroom located at the NYC Design Center at 200 Lexington Ave.  You will have the ability to host clients in the NYC showroom for meetings and events.


In this position, you will call on decision makers and end-users to market the KI brand and product solutions.  You will work closely with architects and designers to increase KI awareness and develop the KI brand in the A&D community.  You will work closely with dealer partners to align appropriately and support their needs. KI manufactures innovative commercial furniture and architectural Wall systems for the markets we serve. We design and manufacture furniture that is appealing, comfortable, functional, durable & sustainable.

 

Candidates with previous sales or design experience in the furniture or a related industry are preferred. Existing relationships with architects, designers, dealers and end users in the Hudson Valley, NY market will be helpful.  Candidates must be able to drive and haul sales samples and should be knowledgeable in CRM technology.  

 

This position includes a salary of approximately $90k-$95k with commission.  Commissions in the first year could realistically range from $0-$40,000 increasing over time based on sales volume and continued relationship building.
