Job Summary:
ICS is looking for an Energy Operations Manager who will deliver and support energy procurement services, maintain/enhance client relationships through excellent customer service, and identify opportunities for improvements in our existing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full client lifecycle including initially onboarding customers, maintaining the existing client base, and implementing and managing multiple annual Energy Requests For Pricing (RFP).

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Manage and direct a team of Energy Analysts who support the current client base and achieve team goals.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Prepares/Solicits RFPs to multiple Energy Generation Companies (EGS)/Load Serving Entities (LSE)/Retail Energy Providers (REP) for electricity and natural gas pricing opportunities for clients
  • Negotiates contracts for electricity and natural gas supply/delivery with EGS/LSE/REP
  • Reviews EGS/LSE/REP contracts with clients
  • Prepare and deliver presentations routinely to clients showing energy market conditions and purchasing opportunities
  • Examines RFP results and recommends the best EGS/LSE/REP pricing options for clients to help manage their energy budget and reduce costs
  • Maintain knowledge of developments and current trends in energy industry
  • Builds and maintains relationships with clients through regular communications and customer service
  • Consults with clients on opportunities for lowering energy costs and maintaining a stable energy budget
  • Act as interface between client and EGS/LSE/REP for problem resolution
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Engineering, or related field required
  • Five+ years of related experience required
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Travel to client sites via personal vehicle (most clients within a 2-hour car ride)
  • Able to commute to Media, PA office or work remotely
