Corporate Biller

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of previous medical office/medical customer service experience required.
•  Understanding of the differences of Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, MyCare, and other managed care plans
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT Codes

Responsibilities

• Translate patient information and into alphanumeric medical code as needed
• Handle information about patient treatment, diagnosis, and related procedures to ensure proper coding
• Enter a high volume of charges weekly to be submitted to various insurances providers
• Review denied accounts for coding and diagnosis issues
• Navigate through various insurance rules and regulations to reduce A/R days.
• Provide successful follow-up efforts for A/R, including the appeals process for denied claims.
• Be able understand and follow up on inquiries from patients regarding questions on billing statements
• Manual and electronic cash posting of both insurance and patient payments
• Follow all regulations and guidelines set by Medicare, state programs, and HMO/PPO
