The LWCC PHS Operations Department is seeking a Summer Intern. The intern program’s goal is to afford an opportunity to understand the operational facets of workers’ compensation and its connection with agency relations, audit, claims, information technology, and underwriting. The position offers a comprehensive experience for those in insurance and risk management fields, as well as students seeking general business experience.
We are flexible with starting and ending dates based on summer and school schedules however, students should be aware that our program dates will be from June to July of 2024. This is an in-office position.
PHS Operations Intern will:
- Learn the fundamentals of LWCC’s formation
- Learn the multi-faceted connection to other departments and company areas
- Learn company operating systems and provide assistance with troubleshooting
- Assist with providing customer service to Agency Partners and Policyholders
- Assist with processing policy endorsements
- Assist with assigning Test Audits and Safety Services visits
- Accompany Audit and Safety Services on a visit
- Shadow other interdepartmental disciplines for knowledge and provide assistance
