Position: Community Engagement and Culture Intern

 

Hours of Work:

Full-time, Non-exempt

 

To the extent permitted by law, the Company may, in its sole discretion, change the work schedule to address business needs. Work hours will depend on the business hours of the time zone serviced.

 

In This Role, You Will…
Assist with creating and implementing community engagement, culture, and communications that support Mariner Finance operations, customer engagement, and team member experience.


Responsibilities & Essential Duties:

  • Assist with content development.
  • Proactively improve intranet spaces and pages.
  • Write and proofread content including, but not limited to: internal communications, press releases, intranet and social media posts.
  • Provide weekly updates for Community Engagement and Culture team.
  • Participate in event planning as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members in different departments on new projects and ideas.
  • Generate and monitor reports in order to maximize the efficiency of team member engagement and communications initiatives.
  • May perform additional functions depending on market demand and staffing in order to provide consistent quality customer service.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, English/Language Arts, Journalism, Philanthropic Studies or other related discipline with the desire to develop a career in marketing.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Basic HTML, SEO, and Google AdWords: Keyword Planner knowledge
  • Working knowledge of social networks, including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing, with vendors, service dealers, customers, and all levels of company staff.
  • Highly-motivated self-starter with strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and ability to support multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to multi-task, change direction, effectively prioritize, and meet deadlines with both local and remote staff.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous learning, actively seeking out opportunities to acquire new skills and stay abreast of industry trends.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with teams across and at all levels of the organization.

 

Physical Demands:        
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to move about. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Compensation: Hourly Rate (commensurate with experience)
