Motion Picture Industry Pension & Health Plans (MPI) is looking for a talented HR Generalist with talent acquisition experience to join our team. To be successful in this role you need to be self-motivated with HR savvy beyond recruitment, in order to support various HR initiatives. Broad recruiting experience in the areas of health insurance, technical, call center, administrative, and financial roles as well as strong technical skills will help set you apart for this role.

 

Your responsibilities would include:

  • Providing Human Resources Generalist support as needed in the areas such as onboarding, employee relations, training and development, employee engagement events, and other related activities
  • Recruiting external talent from entry level to leadership positions, including technical, administrative, and call center positions
  • Creating up to date Job Descriptions by working closely with hiring managers to clearly identify job requirements and responsibilities
  • Crafting compelling job postings
  • Inclusive and timely communication with managers and candidates to ensure that managers are well informed, while supporting a positive, high touch applicant experience

Qualifications:

  • Four years' HR experience in California to include performance management, employee relations, and leaves of absences preferred
  • Three years’ experience recruiting candidates from entry level to leadership positions
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, driven, solutions oriented, team player, who takes initiative, yet is flexible and thrives in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization, while inspiring respect and credibility
  • PHR, SHRM-CP or SPHR, SHRM-SCP certification a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

The anticipated base salary for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 annually. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held.
