Eligibility Representative

Motion Picture Industry Pension & Health Plans (MPI) is looking for a highly skilled Eligibility Representative with exceptional customer service, computer and conflict resolutions skills to interact with Participants and team members regarding health plan options, eligibility enrollment and premiums information.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Review and accurately process participant and dependent records, e.g. addresses, enrollments, beneficiary designations, plan selections, Coordination of Benefits information, student documentation, life insurance, etc.
• Ability to accurately create letters and labels using V3 Eligibility system, Word and Excel
• Completes tickets created by PSC Representatives

• Respond to participant inquiries via email and/or phone  
• Meet established performance metrics as an individual to assist the department in reaching departmental goals and company objectives

• Assist with special projects as needed and complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proficient PC skills, including Windows; MS Word required and MS Excel preferred
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Clear and effective oral and written communication skills; ability to explain and confirm understanding of complex issues.
• Minimum 1 year of comparable work experience is a plus. “Comparable work experience” encompasses the skills, abilities and work experience listed below.
• Health insurance experience is a plus.
• Pleasant and professional telephone etiquette.
• Able to multi-task, handle fast-paced work and meet deadlines.
• Capable of managing a high-volume of work while maintaining high standards
• Motivated self-starter and well organized in managing time and materials.
• Strict attention to detail, a high level of accuracy required.
• Able to learn quickly and follow through to completion.
• Good interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with co-workers and outside contacts.
• Ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent attendance and reliability, with the ability to work overtime/extended hours as required.
• Ability to accept direction and developmental guidance from supervisor.
• Maintains confidentiality of information.
• Accurate typing skills of 45 wpm; 10-key skills by touch.
