Cardinal O’Hara High School is seeking a mature and upbeat professional who will support our administration, staff, faculty, students, and families. The highly ethical and experienced team-player should possess a strong sense of integrity and desire to support all of the efforts of the Athletic Department.

Reporting directly to the Athletic Director, this person will be responsible for providing high-end customer service to the entire school community and is the primary administrative support person to the Athletic Director. This person is expected to provide leadership, supervision, collaboration, and coordination throughout the athletic program and to help ensure compliance with all state and federal athletic regulations, administer departmental funds and accounts in a fiscally responsible manner, and help to manage departmental equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the athletic programs in collaboration with the Athletic Director, staff and coaches to ascertain cooperation and needs to ensure consistency of compliance, quality, and performance of the Athletic Department.
• Assist with the coordination and completion of all athletic programs’ scheduling (games, transportation, officials, etc.)
• Help to ensure that all coaching staff/volunteers in the athletic program have the required approved clearances on file in the principal’s office prior to any student involvement.
• Obtain certificates of insurance for all off-site locations and practice sites.
• Help to organize and maintain all athletic storage.
• Ensure that the proper participation and emergency forms are on file with the coach of every team for every player in case of emergency.
• Assist Coordination with coaching staff to schedule all athletic departure times, transportation, bus supervision and trip sheets.
• Assist scheduling athletic trainers and officials for games.
• Arrange for the “support staff”: in-house staff members that work the score clock, track the book, charge admission, collect tickets, and act as security at the games.
• Help supervise high school athletic contests and act as the host to officials and visiting schools.
• Excellent oral, written, and communication skills.
• The ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment while maintaining superb levels of customer service is essential.
• Computer literacy and proficiency with standard office equipment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• The ability to work independently, use initiative and make substantive decisions quickly.
• At minimum a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Sports knowledge and/or interest is helpful.

This is a part-time, 10-month position.
