Position Summary:

The Director of Enrollment Management will lead the enrollment efforts of Archbishop Wood High School by creating a strong awareness among various constituencies (prospective parents and students, current parents and students, partner schools, alumni, community members and friends) that showcases the school as the ideal choice for their child. The Enrollment Director will lead efforts in developing/sustaining key relationships, representing the school in a variety of settings on and off campus. This role is also responsible for understanding the strategic and operational processes of enrollment management and has experience with all aspects of student recruitment, enrollment, retention, and tuition assistance leveraging. Some evening and weekend work will be required.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Implement a comprehensive Enrollment Management Plan for Archbishop Wood High School.  Establish short- and long-range goals in cooperation with the School President, Enrollment Management Committee, and the Office of Catholic Education.
  • Provide direction to a part-time Assistant Director of Admissions.
  • Work closely with the faculty and staff to ensure understanding of the school’s enrollment management program and engage them in the process.
  • Work closely with the Advancement and Marketing Staff to develop long range organizational and promotional/marketing plans (print, electronic, social, and other mediums) for programs and initiatives which support and promote admissions.
  • Foster, develop and nurture new and existing relationships with the community, prospective parents, and students through research, in-person visits, appointments, phone calls, and emails to schedule presentations and recruit students (Area elementary schools, individual presentations, and religious prep programs).
  • Meet with prospective students and families, arranging tours and shadowing programs, and coordinating admissions related events to include open houses, accepted students’ nights, visitation days, and other seasonal events for prospective students of all ages.
  • Develop proficiencies in and direct the management of the Prospect and Admissions modules of Finalsite Enrollment.
  • Analyze data and develop strategies that will assist AW to meet enrollment management goals.
  • Assist the school’s President and the financial aid committee in awarding need-based grants to families who have applied for tuition assistance.
  • In conjunction with the school's Accountant and Tuition Officer, coordinate, prepare and review all necessary reports to assist in and complete tuition reconciliation and ensure students have been properly billed and receive awarded grants, scholarships, or other discounts.
  • Respond to parent questions regarding tuition, documenting responses in the Tuition Management System
  • Facilitate and manage the stewardship of scholarships and the donor thank you process and coordination of the receipt and review of thank you letters from students.
  • Work collaboratively with the President, Principal, Advancement, Academics, Activities, Athletics, Student Services, Tuition Office, Campus Ministry, and parent ambassadors for the efforts of current student retention.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, education, communications or another appropriate discipline is required, Master’s degree preferred. Three to five years related experience preferably in academic or admissions office.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, be self-motivated and possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills. A high degree of integrity, confidentiality, strong work ethic and a willingness to gain knowledge of the mission of AW and Catholic education as a whole quickly and continuously.
  • Exceptional communication skills. Experience in communications, marketing, sales, public relations and/or education.
  • Strong management and data analysis skills and the ability to work effectively with faculty, administration, and support staff members.
  • Experience in data systems, preferably student database systems and/or customer relations management systems (Finalsite Enrollment and/or PowerSchool), and familiarity with programming and implementation of data in several office environments (Microsoft Office, Google Docs).
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally.

This is a 12-month position
