Orlando City joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the league's 21st franchise in November 2013, becoming the first MLS team in the Southeast. The Lions began league play in March 2015. In 2019, Orlando City re-launched Orlando City B (OCB) to bridge the gap between its successful youth development academy and the First Team.

The Orlando Pride, OCSC’s National Women’s Soccer League franchise, began play in 2016 – bringing professional women’s soccer to Orlando for the first time.

Orlando City and Orlando Pride play at Exploria Stadium, a 25,500-seat soccer-specific stadium built in 2017 and located in the heart of Downtown Orlando.

You are a creative and driven social media professional who excels at connecting and engaging with fans in a unique, meaningful way. Your proven knowledge of social media and creative thinking allows you to be innovative and consistently achieve objectives.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Assist digital and social media team in content capture and creation before, during, and after home matches for Orlando City SC and Orlando Pride 

• Provide in-game coverage on all social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok) 

• Assist in providing unique, creative copy for social media posts 

• Assist in editing and posting content on OrlandoCitySC.com and Orlando-Pride.com before, during and after home matches for Orlando City SC and Orlando Pride 

• Assist with editing photo and video content using Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro 

• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Available to commit to the entirety of the MLS and NWSL seasons (Approx. Feb.-Nov.) 

• Available to commit to most Orlando City and Orlando Pride home matches at Exploria Stadium. 

• Available to commit to some Exploria Stadium events. 

• Fluency in Spanish a plus 

• Prior internship/professional experience in social media, sports marketing, communications or related field 

• Knowledge of soccer (including MLS and NWSL) is critical 

• Self-starter willing to own responsibilities and uphold a standard of excellence 

• Ability to actively and efficiently work in a team 

• Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong interpersonal abilities 

• Passion and ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism, while representing the Orlando City and Orlando Pride brands 

• Experience in juggling a number of work-intensive projects simultaneously, ability to meet and perform under tight deadlines and to think clearly under pressure 

• Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, within a team atmosphere 

• Must be able to produce quality photo and video with a mobile device. 

• Graphic design and/or video editing (Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro) experience is a plus 

• HTML and CSS experience is a plus

The team is led by Seb Hines in his first full season as head coach after serving as Assistant Coach and previously player on Orlando City. 

MLS Next Pro (Orlando City B) play their home matches at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Fla.  OCB continues the Club’s rich history in the rapidly growing league. Orlando City B play approximately 12 home games a year and for the first time will be broadcast on national television further elevating the profile of the league. Also located at OHP is Orlando City’s Academy which compete across youth age groups with where they study and hone their skills to one day join OCB and the First team. 

OCSC also has a youth club, Orlando City Youth Soccer (OCYS) and a U-23 team that participates in the PDL. Lastly, the Orlando City Foundation is active in the community year round, promoting health and wellness in children throughout the region, and raising funds for and volunteering time for various local organizations.
