Job Summary:
The Licensed Community Therapist –provides OLP-Other Licensed Practitioner services to individuals with behavioral health needs, including counseling, treatment planning, and evaluation. Also, clinical supervision, as needed, of Community Providers who provide direct services. Service is provided to children, foster youth, and families to insure that they are linked with supports both in the home, and in the community. The OLP researches and communicates with community organizations, and providers to provide a diverse array of services and to insure all families and staff are aware of the resources available to them in their communities.

Essential Job Duties:
An OLP will provide direct services to clients in their home or community, and oversee the direct service providers as needed, ensuring quality service standards are met provide support, training and coaching to the staff.
1. Provide OLP services, including: Assessments: Treatment Planning: Psychotherapy (Counseling) and Crisis Intervention Activities.
2. Develop and coordinate training for staff, as needed.
3. Effectively resolves problems related to the delivery of therapeutic services and/or seeks appropriate assistance from the Chief Clinical Officer and/or Human Resources.
4. Provide supervision as needed to providers, review utilization and service provision, develop service plans and provide clinical oversight in determining client needs and provide therapeutic support.
5. Attend New Worker Training and insure DOH, OMH and OPWDD Training standards are met, maintain your records reflecting this. Complete required CEU’s for Licensure.
6. Attend team meetings, staff meetings and supervision sessions as scheduled
7. Report all incidents
8. Research community resources and build partnerships to assist with client programming
9. Insure appropriate chain of command is utilized
10. Complies with all federal and state regulations and agency policies pertaining to HIPAA, false claims, whistleblower policies and all others.
11. Performs all other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor

Training Requirements:
• Agency required annual trainings including Mandated Reporter, CPR
• Program specific trainings including Trauma informed care

Education:
Minimum Degree Required: Master’s Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling

Experience:
Minimum Experience Required: at least 3 years of experience working with children

Required License/Registration/ Certification: Licensed based on degree:

LCSW, LMHC
RN, PA, CRC, MD

Physical Requirements:
The overall nature of the position is sedentary requiring little physical effort with occasional light physical exertion required. There is little, if any, exposure to environmental conditions
• The constant physical demands of the position are standing and walking.
• The frequent physical demands of the position are climbing, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, and eye/hand/foot coordination, sitting.
• The occasional physical demands of the position are lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling
