Position Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Microsoft AX Functional Administrator. As a Functional Analyst, you will be expected to deliver business consulting, business process design, systems integration, and application design to a diverse user base.


Additionally, we are looking for this person to be a forward-thinking visionary in terms of future system enhancement and upgrade opportunities to derive even more business value. Keeping abreast of technology trends, Microsoft product development efforts, and 3rd party add-on developments that may prove as valuable additions.


Key Responsibilities


  1. Provide End User Support and Business Analysis for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012: This involves assisting users with their questions and issues related to Dynamics AX 2012 and analyzing business requirements to ensure the system meets the organization's needs.


  1. Maintain Dynamics AX 2012 Environment: Responsible for the upkeep of various modules within Dynamics AX 2012, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, procurement, cash, and bank management, e-banking, project management, and accounting, fixed assets, production control, sales and marketing, warehouse management, product information management, and inventory modules.


  1. Maintain Related AX Software: This includes maintaining other software integrated with Dynamics AX 2012, such as Metaviewer, Management Reporter, SK Global Software, Cimplicity, and Concur Expense.


  1. Maintain AX Master Data Integrity and User Security Roles/Permissions: Ensuring that data within the system is accurate and secure by managing user access permissions and roles.


  1. Responsible for Global Module Setup and Localizations: Configuring the system to accommodate global requirements and any localizations needed to comply with regional regulations.


  1. Analyze and Document Business Requirements, Processes, and Workflows: Documenting the organization's business processes and requirements, which can be used to guide system configurations and improvements.


  1. Provide General IT Support: Assisting with IT-related issues beyond Dynamics AX, and documenting and tracking user issues in a ticketing system.


  1. Other Duties as Assigned: Undertaking additional responsibilities or tasks as required by the organization.




  1. Associate’s or bachelor’s Degree: In a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum 5 Years of MS Dynamics AX 2012 Experience: Demonstrated experience and expertise in working with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.


This role requires a strong understanding of the Dynamics AX 2012 system, including various modules and related software, as well as the ability to support users and ensure data integrity. Additionally, a degree in a related field or equivalent experience is expected, along with a substantial background in working with Dynamics AX 2012.


Required Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train staff.
  • Must be meticulous with strong organizational and analytical skills.


Physical Requirements

    • Prolonged periods sitting and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift- up to fifteen (15) pounds at times.

  • Some travel could be required.
