Job Summary:
This is a Regional position based out of the Baton Rouge (or) Houston area that requires 60% (or more) travel to perform essential job responsibilities: To maintain critical infrastructure and equipment by performing basic and advanced routine (preventative) maintenance on buildings and equipment. To conduct repairs on mechanical and electrical systems to ensure they are in working order while complying with all health and safety standards.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Complete risk assessments before performing any work
- Use common hand and power tools
- Quickly respond to emergency repair requests
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed – including, but not limited to:
- Air Compressors
- Boilers & Water Treatment Equipment
- Media Blasters
- Test Stands
- Lap-Masters
- Nozzle Removers
- Lathes, Mills, and other Machinery
- Minor IT hardware (TV, coax)
- Electrical
- Instrumentation and Electrical repairs
- Pull and Inspect parts
- Work with OEM as needed
- Locate and properly read OEM part supplements, to properly locate replacement parts
- Order parts as needed
- Read and interpret drawings
- Oversee contractors when professional repair assistance is needed
- Schedule maintenance with on-site Managers
- Comply with all Safety & Quality processes and procedures
- Basic LOTO for isolating equipment
- Complete all applicable required training
- Update maintenance records
- Maintenance support of building interior / exterior surfaces
- Perform routine function checks on HVAC, electrical, piping, and safety systems – make repairs as needed
Positional Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education & Experience
- HS Education or GED Equivalent
- Licensed / Craft Electrician strongly preferred
- Technical Training or Certification strongly preferred
- M5 or more years of industry experience
- Skills & Abilities
- Safety & Quality minded
- Demonstrate mechanical skills, basic mathematical skills, and ability to use measurement equipment
- Basic mechanical aptitude including, but not limited to, basic hand and power tool knowledge
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Google

- Strong organizational and follow-up skills

- Successful completion of all applicable Quality Standardization Procedures
- Working knowledge and proficiency of leading manufacturer equipment

- Supervision:

- Works mostly autonomously with little supervision
- Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelines
- Travel 60% or more
- Clear background check and drug/alcohol screening
Essential Physical Functions:
- Lifting: up to 50 pounds
- Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions
- Lift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feet
- Bending, stooping, walking and climbing stairs
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps
- Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
- Communicating with others to exchange information
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
