We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead our payroll function and ensure accurate and timely processing of employee compensation. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll administration, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in payroll, leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
- Oversee and manage the payroll process
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize payroll processes and enhance efficiency.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
- Review and approve payroll transactions, including wages, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation elements.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Implement and maintain processes that adhere to federal, state, and local payroll-related regulations.
- Oversee the calculation and deduction of appropriate taxes, including federal, state, and local income taxes, Social Security, and other withholdings.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll tax filings.
- Collaborate with the benefits team to manage the payroll component of employee benefits programs.
- Ensure accurate deduction and remittance of employee contributions to benefit programs.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and generate reports for management.
- Prepare and present periodic payroll-related reports to leadership.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
- Communicate effectively with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in payroll administration.
- Implement systems or tools that enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of payroll operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or in a similar leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, taxation, and benefits administration.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in using payroll software and MS Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Dayforce is strongly preferred.
