Material Handler (Shipping/Receiving)
SUMMARY: Responsible for the safe, smooth, and efficient flow of material and supplies through the plant, shipping and receiving materials from vendors and to customers, and for all paperwork necessary for shipping, receiving, and inventory control. Will assist and take direction from the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to ensure all areas of responsibility run efficiently.
Prepare Customer Orders for Shipment: Pull materials from inventory and load onto pallets according to pick lists, strapping or bracing to secure and prevent damage in transit; use scanners to enter barcoded information into hand held scanner to download in ERP system.
Loading and Unloading Shipments: Maintain and safely operate forklifts, stand ups, pallet jacks and scales to load and unload commercial carrier trucks and smaller customer trucks.
Receiving Incoming Freight: Receive and check in all incoming shipments; safely unloading raw materials; ensure packing slip detail accurately matches material description and shipping label.
Monitor and Maintain Warehouse Inventory: Perform weekly inventory using handheld scanners to scan fabric rolls in bin locations.

$17.00/hour Starting Pay
12 Hour Shift, 2/2/3 work schedule, 7am-7pm

Education: HS Diploma or GED required
CDL Class B Driving License required
Previous Experience in Shipping/Receiving or related preferred
Computer skills preferred
