Operator - Baghouse (Shift)

SSAB has an Operator opening in our Baghouse.  Experience with dust collection systems preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Ensure safe working conditions and the safe operation of baghouse
• Participate in SSAB safety programs, audits and reviews
• Perform troubleshooting, routine and preventive maintenance at the baghouse
• Inspect the condition of the baghouse equipment. Report and repair as required
• Maintain a clean, organized and stocked work area
• Utilize established documentation systems (logs, emails, paperwork, etc.) to communicate all relevant information to the baghouse and management team
• Work closely with the baghouse team leader and shift coordinator to minimize down time and improve equipment reliability
• Participate in improvement and organization projects
• Other tasks as needed/scheduled by the baghouse team leader

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Competencies and Experience

Required:

• Mechanical aptitude
• Basic Microsoft experience or aptitude/willingness to learn

 

Preferred:

• Experience with dust collection systems a plus

 

Education

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent
