Financial Analyst

Savage’s FP&A Analyst I is on the front lines of connecting operating decisions to financial outcomes. You will work directly with operation leaders, elevating the business and finding opportunities to drive margin. Our analysts do not work at “arm’s length”; we work in conjunction with operations leaders and teams, developing a partnership drives results. The position works with all levels of leadership to communicate results and ideas for improvement.

Full-time, onsite, Monday through Friday, travel required as needed, possible office locations:

• League City, TX
• The Woodlands, TX

What You'll Be Doing: 

• Monthly P&L variance analysis
• Cost optimization analysis
• Forecasting and budgeting
• Preparation of monthly slides for leadership review
• Ad-hoc analysis related to business development, negotiations, critical business decisions, etc.
• Capital requests for replacements
  • Opportunities to support more complicated capital analysis
• Pro forma creation for expansion of existing business
  • Opportunities to support larger more complicated pro forma work related to business development
• Responsibilities are not all inclusive and may be different based on company needs

What You Need to be Successful:   

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills is a must
• P&L experience
• Driven and curious
• Foundational understanding of cost accounting and financial principals
• Prior operations experience in Savage businesses is a plus
• History of identifying opportunities to drive margin
• Prior leadership experience with a geographically dispersed team

Education/Experience:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience such as:
  • Degree in S.T.E.M., Industrial Sciences, Business, etc.
• Direct working experience with P&L’s
• 5+ years of professional work experience or equivalent:
