Human Resources Administrative Assistant
Job Purpose:
Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists Vice President of Human Resources with administrative functions and department operations.
- Receives, review and submits invoices and credit card receipts for processing. Reviews budget monthly to ensure charges are classified appropriately.
- Maintains inventory, order and stocks office supplies, stationary, business cards and other office needs.
- Initiates and manages service calls on office building and office equipment; manages equipment supplies.
- Retrieves, distributes and manages incoming and outgoing mail.
- Develops and distributes human resources reports in Excel using charts and graphs to display data, trends and other data points.
- Prepares monthly human resources executive presentation report in Excel or PowerPoint using charts and graphs to display data.
- Manages key inventory and storage in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Schedules meetings and maintains calendar for department executive.
- Tracks and obtains approval of contracts and other legal documents with legal department.
- Coordinates travel and other off-site meetings for department leaders
- Plans and coordinates department meetings, gatherings, or team outings
- Tracks and coordinates department RSVPs for large scale team member events
Job Specifications:
Education and Experience:
Essential:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- 3 years office administration experience
Desirable:
- Casino or hospitality experience
Skills and Knowledge:
Essential:
- Intermediate to advance knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to learn software and other systems quickly
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with guests, vendors and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks and assignments
- Ability to maintain filing and other organizational systems
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
- Ability to complete office forms, documents and written reports
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to appear for work on time
- Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions
- Ability to accept feedback
Desirable:
- Dayforce or other HRIS experience
- Red Rock software experience
- Multi-lingual (Spanish)
