Kettle Driver
The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has an opening for Seasonal Kettle Driver. This position will be required to pass a background check and a credit check.
Job Summary
Drives a Salvation Army vehicle for delivering and picking up Christmas kettles, supplies and bellringers to designated kettle locations.

Kettle Driver (95%)
Responsible for delivering and picking up Christmas kettles, supplies and bellringers at designated kettle locations.
Collects kettles and supplies from designated bell ringer and returns kettles to Area Command for counting.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES (5%)
Locks vehicle doors when vehicle is not in use.
Parks vehicle in a safe and clearly marked parking space.
Performs other related work as required.
Materials and Equipment
Salvation Army vehicle Christmas Kettles and stands
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to drive up to a 24-foot box van.
Excellent knowledge of Oklahoma City and surrounding area streets.
General vehicle maintenance such as pre-trip inspections.
Ability to read and follow written instructions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or G.E.D. And Two years’ experience operating an automotive vehicle,
Or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and
abilities.
Certifications/Licenses
Valid Oklahoma driver’s license with a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
Physical Requirements
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Ability to travel to various locations throughout the metro.
Ability to safely drive a vehicle in heavy traffic.
Ability to greet guests, such as volunteers or clients.
Ability to concentrate in a disruptive environment.
Ability to alternate between manual labor duties and contact with public.
Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objec
Working Conditions
Work is performed driving various vehicles in the field while making deliveries and pick-ups.
Work is also performed in a warehouse and office environment where there is little or no physical discomfort.
