Community Center Program Aide
The Salvation Army; an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has job opening for a part-time Community Center Program Aid for the Metro Atlanta Area Kroc Center, located in Atlanta Georgia.
Assist in facilitating and monitoring Community center arts, sports, and recreational activities both on and off Salvation Army property; supervises and coaches sporting events; supervises and assists in activities in the arts; assists in maintaining the Community Center facilities, equipment, and grounds, assists and supports events and special functions as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of the standard rules and techniques of athletic sports such as volleyball, basketball, and football; Ability to operate/use various office, and recreational equipment; Ability to build and maintain effective and positive relationships with people of all ages; Ability to lead and motivate people participating in art and recreational activities.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or G.E.D., Six months experience in outward facing customer service role; Experience in dance, theater, music, and/or organized sports preferred; Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Valid State Driver’s License
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions.
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write and communicate the English language. Ability to observe children and ensure their safety. Ability to participate in physical effort/activities associated with walking, standing, lifting, playing games, and transporting objects of reasonable weight. Ability to drive a passenger van and passenger bus.
